![]() Therefore Word should use the font settings you created with the Default button. Word uses its default settings for them (using the Default Button changes the font) but the default settings will be overridden if the template you are using has its own settings for these styles. (The feature creates the envelope from the on-screen document which is presumably your Letter template.) The Envelope feature uses two styles to format the addresses on the envelope it creates: Envelope Address and Envelope Return (for the return address). It sounds like you are running the feature not from the normal template (normal.dot) but from the Letter template you created. However in Word 20 I believe the Default button in the Envelope feature (Tools, Envelopes & Labels, Options, Font) changes the default font only for envelopes created with this feature AND which are based on the normal template. I am not sure which version of Word you are using.
